Our Safety, Health and Environmental Management System (SHEMS) is applicable to the company’s different business areas – Development, Investment and Property Management of Sonae Sierra’s shopping centres – including corporate offices.

The main objective of the SHEMS is to guarantee that Safety, Health and Environmental issues are managed in an effective and responsible manner in accordance with Sonae Sierra’s Safety, Health and Environment Policy.

The SHEMS is certified in accordance with the ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards and the management model is as shown below:
